Why We Started

GenVolt Energy is led by a team with more than 50 years of combined experience across CHP systems, boilers, renewables, multi-fuel technologies, and power generation.

That experience shapes every stage of the work we do, from system design and project delivery to maintenance planning and ongoing optimisation.

Our leadership team combines technical expertise with strong operational understanding, giving clients confidence that projects will be managed properly, communicated clearly, and delivered with long-term performance in mind.

Meet the Team

Mark Lamont

Mark Lamont is an experienced senior leader in the power and energy sector, with more than 12 years at board level driving growth, operational excellence, and large-scale project delivery.

His background includes leading complex engineering operations, developing high-performing teams, and delivering reliable power solutions across multiple industries. He brings extensive experience across generator sales, design, installation, maintenance, CHP systems, UPS systems, and battery energy storage solutions.

Mark’s leadership style is built on clear communication, accountability, and collaboration, helping ensure projects are delivered to a high standard, on time, and with strong client relationships at the centre.

Callum Ryan

Callum Ryan brings a strong technical background combined with senior leadership experience across gas engineering, electrical systems, commercial installations, and on-site power generation.

He has worked in the energy sector for nearly 15 years, initially qualifying as a gas engineer before going on to gain his electrical qualifications through further study alongside his work. He has since built extensive experience working with major energy organisations including OVO, Siemens, and Utility Warehouse, as well as supporting large-scale commercial and industrial installations for companies such as SMS and Cadent.

As a company director, Callum combines hands-on engineering knowledge with operational and commercial oversight, ensuring projects are delivered practically, efficiently, and with a clear understanding of how systems perform in real-world environments.
